Tutsi Bowl, Rwanda
A small hand carved deep wooden bowl with handle, originating from the Tutsi Tribe of Rwanda.
Featuring an indigenous repair to the centre, the piece is handmade from a singular piece of wood. The bowl is incredibly tactile, no single one being identical.
Likely to date to earlier half of the twentieth century, the wood has a deep warm patina and wear aligned with its age. A small chip is visible to the rim of the bowl and there are scratches to the metal plate which are to be expected.
