Bronze Chain Sculpture
Very heavy bronze stud link minesweeper chain.
This chain is just a small piece of a large chain salvaged from the HMS Bronington. A minesweeper launched in 1953 and part of the Royal Navy.
This now polished sculptural piece is made from solid bronze, a non-magnetic material as to not set off mines in its original use. It has a beautiful soft gold tone, more muted than a traditional brass.
Soursed in the UK.
Each link measures 15.5cm long, 9.5cm wide. In full the chains measure approx 27cm long.
