Originating from the Tutsi tribe of Rwanda, East Africa, this piece would have originally been used practically to hold honey and other food stuffs.

The pot has a beautiful organic form, carved from a singular piece of wood. The age and patina to the wood is warm, and it’s construction is solid and heavy.

The checkered metal details are handmade repairs added over time, they create a beautiful patterned detail which follows the form of the wood, it also means the pot looks different from every angle.
